Detection of Epileptic Seizure in ECG Signals using Machine Learning & Deep Learning

Detection of Epileptic Seizure in ECG Signals using Machine Learning & Deep Learning Epilepsy is a disorder which is causes an abnormal behavior of a person which includes disturbance, trauma and stroke. Epilepsy is caused due to recurrent occurrences of the seizures. As per the study and the assessments done by WHO also called as World Health Organization, every year, 50 million people suffer from these Seizures and they are not even aware about it. A person who is having a seizure exhibits strange behavior, symptoms, and sensations, sometimes even losing consciousness. Fig 1. Symptoms of Epilepsy Most of the time seizure attacks are the cause of accidents. Seizures are a result of excessive electrical discharges in a group of brain cells. The patient who has seizure attack for more than 5 minutes needs to be medicated as soon as possible but due to lack of knowledge about this condition it is not treated at early stages.

When does a Randomized Algorithm perform best?

When does a Randomized Algorithm perform best? What is a Randomized Algorithm? Basically, we use a random algorithm that typically gives any random number or value as an input to our executing program to decide what to do next anywhere in our logic. This algorithm is used to reduce the time complexity, memory used or space complexity, in a standard algorithm to guide its behavior, and also achieve good performance in “Average Case” over all possible choices of random value. Fig 1. This figure (Fig 1.) clearly specifies that whenever our logic stuck, a random value is given to our algorithm as an input or with input to get an output. Classification of Randomized Algorithm Las Vegas algorithm: It was introduced by László Babai in 1979, this randomized algorithm produces either correct output, or no output when no result is found, but it cannot guarantee a time constraint. Time complexity is not fixed (not deterministic), it can vary for the same input. It somehow guarantees an upp...
